The CityLife Cairns Show Wine Awards 2009 was a huge success, with more than 250 guests sampling their way through the afternoon.
2009 Wine Awards visitors were also treated to a variety of samples from Australian and Local Fruit Wineries as well as several local food producers. With hundreds of Grape Wines available for tasting upstairs and Fruit Wines and Local Produce downstairs, visitors were treated to a variety never before seen during the annual Cairns Show Wine Awards.

Inaugural Cairns Regional Barista Competition |

For the first time, the Cairns Regional Barista Competition will be held at Cairns Show 2009 to showcase and promote the expertise, creativity and talent of top local baristas in the art of brewing and serving specialty coffee. Co-organised by the Cairns Show Association and the Australasian Specialty Coffee Association (AASCA), the event will be held at the
Annual Cairns Show 1th -17th July, Cairns' largest community event and the largest Regional Show in Australia.
