Police Message to Parents If you're bringing little ones to enjoy the show, please help police to re-unite the family if one gets lost. Wristbands are available at the Show Office, the Show Stand at Raintrees Shopping Centre (July 7th - July 20th 2010), your local Police Station, Police Beats or the Police Stand at the Show. Parents should write their name and phone number on the INSIDE of the wrist band so police can call them is a child gets lost. Cairns Access Card and Companion Cards The Cairns Show participates in the both the Cairns Access Card and National Companion Card systems. Show the Gatekeeper your Access or Companion Card and your carer gets free entry. EFTPOS Tickets Eftpos for ticket sales are available only at:
Westpac Bank has three EFTPOS terminals for cash withdrawals located just inside the Main Entrance next to the Show Office. Smoking The Cairns Show Ground is a smoke-free environment. Smoking in only permitted in signed, designated areas. Please refer to the map in the centre pages of the Cairns Show Guide for the location of designated smoking areas. Please be careful - On the Spot Fines can be issued for non-compliance. Bus Stops Sunbus Pickup and Drop Offs Points To the City - Mulgrave Road opposite the Show Ground Main Entrance Disabled Set down is the Corner of Mulgrave Road and Severin Street. Please note: The bus stop directly outside the Show Ground Main Entrance is NOT in use during the Show. Taxi Ranks Black and White Taxis operate the following Taxi Ranks for your convenience:

Disabled Parking Six (6) Disabled Parking bays have been allocated in Severin Street, near Mulgrave Road and another eight (8) bays in Severin Street, outside St Augustine's College Swimming Pool.

Information Booth, Cloakroom and Stroller Hire Located next to the Show Office, just inside the Main Gates on Mulgrave Road, Members of the Overcomers Ministries will happily provide you with information on where to find things, look after all your show goodies while you continue to enjoy yourself or hire you a stroller for the tired little ones. Parents Room Volunteers from the Australian Breastfeeding Association run the Feed and Change Room everyday from 10am - 8pm, providing parents with an air-conditioned room to change and feed their children. A microwave oven is available to warm milk and chairs are set up to rest the legs of weary parents while they tend to their little ones. It is located across the road from the Dairy Farmers Animal Nursery on the south side of the Show Ring, just look for the big Dairy Farmers Cow on the roof. ![]() |
