The smell of burning rubber and smoke clouds took over the skies of Cairns in 2011 for the annual Cairns Show Auto Spectacular. The event was held on 17th and 18th September 2011 and was not just about smoke and rubber as beautifully restored cars of all makes and models, Hot Rods, Beaut Ute's and Old Classic from across the region where on display. This year's event saw new entertainment in the form of a V8 Simulator Ride, a bigger and better 4x4 Challenge and a new Time Trial Event. There was also Big Electrics Driving Demos from North Queensland Top drivers.

  • Matt Hermes with  his carburetted LS1 VN Commodore. Matt has only just finished bolting everything together to come to put on a show. Although it hasn't seen the Dyno yet, Matt expects to run around 320HP at the wheels."Matt would like to thank Brinks Performance, Dominator and Tuff Muff for their support in getting the car ready."
  • Shane Mackay with his 2002 Au series 3 falcon ute, 460 stroked to a 557ci big block, built by barbagello
  • Jason Tanks driving 'Casper' with a new engine combo 393 clevo on methanol winner of Nq Pro's 2010 and ran 3 rd in Nq Pro's 2011.
  • Colin Wolfe in his ever reliable Green Vs Commodore Ute (HOLDEN POWER). Winning numerous Burnout comps in the past years along with top ten finishes in the NQ Pro Burnouts. Special thanks to Laurie, Tuff Tyres, Mannings Pies and 1st Stop Detailing
