There will be a variety of cattle breeds at the 2011 Cairns Show. From Prime Beef which are located across the bridge, to Dairy and Stud Cattle which can be found near the horse stables. Not an area to be overlooked as there is always plenty of action.

Beef Cattle

Across the bridge you will find the Prime Beef Cattle, sponsored by Elders - Mareeba. Cattle will be on display until Friday afternoon. There will also be an auction on Thursday 21st July at 4pm. For an insight into the beef industries visit the Information Pavilion where you can learn about the past and present of the industry. This year will also include a display of historic cattle equipment.

Dairy and Stud Cattle

Stud Beef Cattle judging will take place from Wednesday onwards, with Dairy Cattle judged on the Thursday. Friday will see the chance for the younger generation to try their hand at judging and parading so why not come along and support them? There will be a variety of cattle to gaze at including small breeds like Dexters to larger cattle such as Droughtmaster and Brahmans.
