Andrew Corrigan, Master of Wine is based in Queensland where he teaches wine courses, is part of the group that publishes The Harris Corrigan Wine Report and is a project manager for property and construction work specialising in wine, liquor and hotel work. Andrew has been associated with the Cairns Show Wine Awards since it's inception and continues to play a vital role as Panel Chair for the 2009 Awards. The primary objective of the Wine & Food Society of Cairns is to encourage and facilitate the association of people interested in fine wine and food. To this end, the Society holds numerous luncheons and evening functions for members and their guests.

Functions are directed towards the attainment of a high level of understanding and appreciation of the preparation of food and wine and their relationship to each other. The Society welcomes new members. New members need to be nominated and seconded by existing members.
